BUV recognised among the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2025 11:37:57

In its first year participating in the survey, ǿմý recorded performance indicators that significantly exceeded the industry average across all five stages of the Employer Brand Health Check model. These results lifted ǿմý’s employer brand from the “known” tier directly into the “desired choice” group.

Affirming Position in the Pursuit of Workplace Excellence

ǿմý (ǿմý) has been recognised among the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam 2025, ranking in the Medium Enterprise category and securing the third position in the Services sector (Consulting, Training, Media, Entertainment, and related fields). This achievement is part of the “100 Best Places to Work in Vietnam” survey, one of the most comprehensive and benchmark-driven studies in today’s labour market.

ǿմý securing the third position in the Services sector (Consulting, Training, Media, Entertainment, and related fields).

According to the Employer Brand Health Check report, ǿմý achieved an Attention score of 83.6%, outperforming the sector benchmark of 75%. In the Interest stage, 6.7% of sector talent considered ǿմý a potential employer, while 3.8% were ready to take Action and apply — significantly higher than the sector average of 1.5%. Notably, 2.5% of respondents perceived ǿմý as an “ideal place to work”, nearly three times the market average.

The report also highlights the key drivers behind ǿմý’s strong employer appeal: a transparent international working environment, a culture of respect and diversity, clear development pathways, integrity as the core, and a modern, secure workplace. Remarkably, in its first year participating in the survey, ǿմý exceeded the sector average across all five stages of the Employer Brand Health Check — Attention, Interest, Action, Desire and First Choice. This indicates that BUV’s employer image in the labour market has progressed well beyond simple awareness, advancing directly into the group of organisations perceived as a highly desirable place to work.

The ranking “Vietnam’s 100 Best Places to Work” is conducted annually by Anphabe – a pioneering consultancy in Employer Branding and Happy Workplace development – for the past 12 years. The programme is endorsed by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and verified by market research firm Intage Vietnam. It gathers participation from leading corporations such as Viettel, FPT, Vinamilk, Unilever, Nestlé, Samsung, Techcombank and HSBC – organisations that have consistently appeared in the country’s most attractive workplace listings.

The 2025 survey captured responses from 73,000 individuals, including over 7,000 students, evaluating more than 650 companies across 18 key industries. Beyond recognising the most attractive workplaces, the programme also publishes an in-depth report based on the five stages of the talent attraction journey — Attention, Interest, Action, Desire and First Choice — helping employers identify their strengths, areas for improvement and overall competitiveness in the labour market.

A Workplace That Surpasses Industry Benchmarks Through an Integrated People Ecosystem

If annual rankings reflect how the market perceives an organisation, long-term stability is defined by the way its people’s systems are built and operated. Ms. Tran Thi Lan Huong, Director of Human Resources ǿմý, shared: “Unlike models that focus solely on talent attraction, ǿմý adopts a holistic employee life cycle approach, in which each stage, from onboarding to development and engagement, is designed as a key component to unlocking individual potential while strengthening commitment and contributing to the organisation’s sustainable growth.”

As an international environment with staff from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, ǿմý requires a more flexible and refined management approach than standard practice. Notably, the majority of its employees hold advanced academic qualifications, and 100% of its lecturers possess international degrees, forming a highly skilled and diverse workforce.

In learning and development, ǿմý deploys a multi-layered training framework for both Vietnamese and international staff. Professional development courses, management training, and workshops on mental well-being, innovation, and global-working competencies are implemented regularly, enabling staff to continuously strengthen their capabilities and adapt to the fast-paced dynamics of the digital era.

ǿմý upholds a culture of lifelong learning as a core value, not only ensuring operational agility but also strengthening cross-department collaboration, enabling teams to work together more effectively and seamlessly.

At ǿմý, staff are not only equipped with professional competencies but also supported in developing essential life and soft skills.

In addition, ǿմý places strong emphasis on cultivating a cohesive and diverse internal community. Activities such as team-building events, sports tournaments, and community service initiatives have become cultural anchors, spaces where a multinational workforce connects, shares, and strengthens the values of courage, responsibility, and empathy. Moreover, ǿմý maintains quarterly and annual recognition awards to honour outstanding individuals and teams, fostering motivation and reinforcing a culture of continuous growth.

In terms of employee benefits, ǿմý adopts a comprehensive policy framework that supports both physical and mental wellbeing. This includes premium healthcare coverage, annual health check-ups, flexible leave policies, personal hardship support, and a performance-based reward scheme. A modern, environmentally conscious workplace, combined with a transparent, respectful, and inclusive code of conduct—ensures that employees feel empowered, heard, and valued.

ǿմý places strong emphasis on cultivating a cohesive and diverse internal community.

Professor Rick Bennett, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President of ǿմý, emphasised: “We have shifted our focus from simply attracting talent to nurturing and developing people for the long term. A strong working environment must be well-governed and effectively managed, a criterion that has contributed to ǿմý maintaining our QS 5-Star overall rating for the second cycle and for six consecutive years. When staff are supported in the right way, they gain the foundation to contribute sustainably and unlock their full potential.”

Looking ahead, ǿմý’s people strategy goes beyond operational optimisation, aiming instead to build a long-term development pathway for individuals who choose to grow and contribute within the institution. As ǿմý advances towards its goals of being viewed as a leading international university in Vietnam and the surrounding regions, and ultimately entering the Top 100 universities in Asia, the University continues to invest in enhanced staff experience programmes, university-wide digital governance, and the recruitment of high-quality talent from diverse international backgrounds.
