PERSONAL AND SOCIAL GROWTH (PSG) PROGRAMME
The Personal and Social Growth (PSG) Programme is a unique initiative of 星空传媒 to encourage students鈥 well-rounded development and enable them to acquire essential skills, qualities, and qualifications for future success. It is one of three key drivers of 星空传媒, along with the accredited British and international higher education degrees in Vietnam, as well as a 5-star university campus with state-of-the-art learning spaces and dedicated support services.
Going parallel with and complementing the academic degree programmes, the PSG Programme connects a vast pool of activities outside the classroom, catering students鈥 unique aspirations and facilitating their personal, social, professional, and academic growth in four aspects: Work & Career Readiness; University & Community Engagement; Social, Cultural and Emotional Development; and Academic Excellence.
Upon successful completion of the PSG Programme, students will be awarded a PSG certificate and a detailed transcript of activities and points accumulated throughout their time at BUV. The PSG certificate is a competitive advantage for students to confidently seize opportunities in the real world.
POSITION PURPOSE
At 星空传媒, we believe student success is built not only through academic learning, but also through meaningful co-curricular experiences that develop students鈥 capabilities, practical experience, achievements and market-facing evidence.
As the PSG Co-Curricular Development Officer, you will play a key role in researching, designing and coordinating co-curricular development pathways (“PSG Routes”) with structured, School-specific co-curricular development journeys that help students build discipline-relevant capabilities, obtain relevant qualifications or certifications, gain applied experience, and produce evidence of achievement valued by employers, professional sectors and the wider market.
The role contributes directly to 星空传媒鈥檚 strategic priority to improve brand strength by helping position PSG as a distinctive student development ecosystem. This includes supporting the future development of PSG into a more recognised and validated certificate model, potentially involving industry associations, professional bodies, external partners and globally recognised higher education institutions.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
To achieve the position’s purpose, the PSG Co-Curricular Development Officer will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Research, Market Insights & Capability Mapping
- Gather, consolidate and synthesise information from market reports, industry trends, employer insights, student feedback, academic Schools and relevant University departments.
- Identify future skills, sector-specific capability requirements, emerging qualifications, professional certifications and development opportunities relevant to different disciplines.
- Benchmark relevant co-curricular development models, professional certificates, industry-recognised learning pathways and competitor offerings.
- Translate research findings into practical recommendations for PSG Route design, certificate development, learning opportunities and strategic decision-making.
- PSG Route Design & Management
- Working under the overall PSG programme architecture, develop discipline-specific PSG Routes by:
- Developing capability maps that identify the knowledge, skills and competencies students should acquire within each school & discipline.
- Recommending relevant qualifications, certifications and external learning opportunities that enhance students’ capabilities.
- Curating high-impact learning experiences by integrating PSG flagship activities, School and Faculty initiatives, University services and external opportunities into coherent student development routes.
- Reviewing and continuously improving PSG Routes to ensure they remain relevant to market needs and student aspirations.
- Support the PSG Manager in developing route architecture, route documentation, route completion criteria and student-facing guidance.
- Learning Ecosystem Management
- Maximise the utilisation of Coursera and other learning platforms to support discipline-relevant student development.
- Identify and recommend relevant external qualifications, certifications, short courses, micro-credentials and professional learning opportunities.
- Promote participation in qualifications, certifications, and external learning opportunities.
- Monitor student engagement and recommend initiatives to improve participation, completion rates and the quality of learning outcomes.
- Co-curriculum Initiative Development & Implementation
- Support the development of new co-curricular programmes, flagship series and targeted initiatives that strengthen student capabilities, practical experience and achievement evidence.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to deliver discipline-focused student development programmes.
- Ensure initiatives are implemented consistently with the PSG programme architecture and desired student success outcomes.
- Support planning, timeline management, logistics, communication, stakeholder coordination and post-activity evaluation.
- Certificate, Recognition & Validation Development
- Support the exploration and development of a future PSG/Future Skills certificate model into a structured recognition framework that formally recognises students鈥 co-curricular learning, applied experience and development outcomes
- Research potential validation routes through industry associations, professional bodies, external partners and globally recognised higher education institutions.
- Support the preparation of evidence, mapping documents, learning outcomes, assessment requirements, audit trails and completion criteria required for certificate or recognition purposes.
- Coordinate information, documentation and submission packages required for discussions with internal stakeholders and potential external validation partners
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Other Support
- Work with various stakeholders, including Faculty, Career Services, Student Life, Alumni Relations to support the successful fulfilment of responsibilities.
- Implement internal administrative and procurement process to purchase and prepare logistics for programme activities when required.
- Support stakeholder engagement required for PSG Route development, industry validation, professional recognition and applied experience opportunities.
- Coordinate internal administrative, procurement and logistics processes for programme activities when required.
- Prepare documents, proposals, briefs, reports, presentations and student-facing materials related to PSG Routes and co-curricular development.
- Represent PSG professionally in meetings and working sessions as assigned.
- Undertake other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the PSG Manager in support of departmental and University objectives.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Qualifications and Experiences
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Social Sciences, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Experience in education, L&D (learning & development), programme design, student affairs, project coordination or other relevant fields
- Experience working with students, academic teams, external partners or professional bodies is desirable.
- Experience in research, benchmarking, curriculum/co-curriculum design, capability mapping, certification, micro-credentials or learning platforms is an advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to collect, compare and synthesise information from multiple sources.
- Knowledge of programme design or learning experience design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
