Driving Educational Change Through Research and Innovation in the Digital Era 22:09:22

On 13 January 2025, the Digital Transformation in Higher Education – Immersion Forum united educators, researchers, and innovators from 星空传媒, Bournemouth University (BU), Tra Vinh University (TVU), and the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) to envision the future of higher education.

The event was held at Bournemouth University, and was a part of the British Council funded project ‘Soaring to successful digital transformation in Vietnamese universities’. This project is co-led by Assoc. Prof. Dr Milena Bobeva from BU, and Assoc. Prof. Dr Mike Perkins from 星空传媒.

On 14 Jan 2025, the GLOBAL HORIZONS: Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Higher Education Through Digital Transformation and Partnerships event showcased the transformative potential of international collaboration and digital innovation.

Institutions from both the UK and Vietnam shared inspiring case studies illustrating the tangible impact of the DX framework. Particularly, Assoc. Prof. Mike Perkins showcased the role of research and innovation in fostering meaningful educational advancements.

The GLOBAL HORIZONS forum was more than just an event; it was a call to action for educators, researchers, and policymakers to come together and shape a future where education is inclusive, innovative, and sustainable. By leveraging digital transformation and fostering global partnerships, institutions can overcome challenges and create impactful solutions for generations to come.
